What is Ear Acupuncture?
Three fine, extremely tiny pins on surgical tape are inserted in the ear for between three to ten days. During this time you cannot normally feel the pins, apart from when pressed, which stimulates the points and enhances the treatment. The theory is that the ear is the same basic shape as the human foetus and needles are inserted on specific points relating to the different organs and functions.
How Does it Work?
- Once the pins are in place it works by taking away the urge for cigarettes or over-eating.
- If you get a strong urge for either, press the points quickly. This takes away the craving momentarily to get you over the crisis period.
- If you weaken and take a cigarette or over-eat you may feel nauseated.
Treatment Price
Smoking – This requires two treatments. The first is £75 and the follow up treatment two weeks later is £60.
Weight Loss – A course of three treatments costs £75 for the first treatment and £60 for each weekly follow up session.
