Bernard studied Shiatsu at the world famous Namikoshi Shiatsu School in Tokyo, Japan for two years. He had previously trained in sports therapy in Australia. As a natural progression he spent a further three years at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea where he studied Oriental Medicine majoring in Acupuncture.

Returning to the U.K. Bernard formed the British Shiatsu Association where he taught Shiatsu for many years. During this period of time he was also teaching Acupuncture in hospitals around the U.K. and at many professional football clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle, Aston Villa and many more. He has also treated many football stars such as William Gallas, Jesper Gronkjaer, Damien Duff, Roy Keane and Liam Ridgewell.

Over the past fifteen years he has had an overwhelming success with fertility enhancement where he uniquely began to treat the couple instead of the individual using a combination of Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Diet. 

Bernard has appeared as a specialist on a number of top British TV shows including GMTV, Trisha Goddard, Lunchtime Live, Granada Sky’s Livetime show, Yorkshire TV and Granada Reports, as well as having been featured in a number of magazine and national newspapers. Bernard has also produced 2 Shiatsu videos and has built up a reputation as a celebrity consultant, treating many household names in the UK and across the pond.
